The #1 Mistake Online Home Business Owners Make is Over Complicating their Business.

Here’s usually how it goes…

People are attracted to an offer that invites them to review a simple way to make money online.

They flow through a simple system and watch a couple videos.

They receive a couple follow up emails and click to some info, videos or webinars.

Everything looks great and they buy.

And from that moment forward, they get lost asking millions of questions daily and they roll down the rabbit hole of over complicating every single part of this simple process.

They get angry when experienced marketers don’t answer their millions of questions and mainly refer them back to the simple process that made them want to buy in the first place. But that’s not enough. They claim to be confused and frustrated and so they quit shortly thereafter.




FEAR. They were just too scared to do what they already knew they had to do.

Some people get scared of taking action.

They fear making mistakes.

They’re scared of their posts or messages not being perfect.

They fear being rejected.

So instead, they rely on trying to “connect with a leader” every day to just get on, one-to-one phone calls to ask millions of questions. Most of the questions they ask are the same questions they’d already asked.

That’s all a smoke screen.

It’s a defensive mechanism to rationalize and justify why they’re not taking action yet again, and not getting out there and mixing it up with the people. To meet 10 new people a day. To search new locations on social networks to get their posts in front of new people. No prospecting. No advertising. No marketing. No following up. No promotion…

…because they spend all day and evening incessantly texting, messaging and leaving voicemails to “leaders” and “gurus” because they think spending hours on the phone asking repetitive questions is somehow a cover for not executing “Income Producing Activities” in their business. It’s not all their fault.

They’re not “bad” people. But that’s just what happens in the field and it’s helpful to be aware of it in yourself and others so you can truly help them succeed.


Well, for starters, this post is the solution.

It makes people aware of this problem.

There’s no hiding it.

We know it’s there.

And it reminds you that the most important focus is on keeping it simple.

The other part of the solution is all ATTITUDE.

Attitude in Online Home Based Business

It’s not a coincidence.

You just get to a point where you decide to BECOME THE SOLUTION to other people on that day. It’s a mindset. Shift away from the constant faulty programming installed throughout our school years by the “system” to always be a student and never being a decisive action taker.

Just decide NOT to complicate the simple process you experienced that sold you.

Be the solution. You already know the basics to this process. Just take action.

Ask people if they’re open to a simple way to make money online.

Yes or no?

Then take them to the next step:

Ask them to review a video and give them your link.

Then follow up and ask them what they liked about the video.

It’s a super simple process.

In follow up, always let them know that you can help them succeed and let them know they look like they’re ready to get started. Then listen to them… if they’re ready, welcome them to the team and let them know to email you after they buy so you can plug them into the team training and resources.

If they say no, or have questions, invite them back to the video or a recorded hangout or a piece of training and let them know to watch it again and follow up. It’s not complicated.

Also remind people in your marketing and your follow up (in blogs, fb posts, videos, emails etc) that it’s not a complicated process.

Remind them that the process itself is simple and that’s why it works with the masses.


  1. The approach questions: “Are you open…”
  2. Watch a video.
  3. Buy/join.
  4. Plug into training.
  5. Repeat the process.

Not complicated. Keep it simple.

Keeping it simple and focusing on building an ever increasing pipeline of monthly residual income is why I promote this system where we can build together and build teams.
