Building Your Targeted List With Powerful Articles
How profitable are you allowing your original content to be? Kind of a different question, huh? Think about it, though….How valuable is the content you have on your site? We could go on for days about the how’s and why’s but, the one thing you need to know is that the more original content you have, the more valuable it is to you. Most website owners use their articles as ways to create backlinks. While that is a goal and a good way to see some value, it is not the end all. Some website owners only see their articles as more good info for visitors to read while they are there. While both of these have value and some truth to it, there really is more to the story.
Think about this for a minute….what makes you stick around a website for more than 10-30 seconds? Is it just the fact that the subject material is what you were looking for? Maybe its because of the subject matter and the way info is presented. One of the most valuable benefits of writing articles for your business – is the fact that your articles will attract people who want to learn more from you and/or are ready to buy from you.
Remember back to the last time you purchased an ebook or resource guide. You liked what you read, wanted to learn more, so you listened to the writers call to action. When you did this you visited the website, opted in to their free newsletter, and whether it was that first visit or a secondary visit you decided to make a purchase. What you may not have known was that the owner of that website may have wrote that info for free. They may have paid for it to be written, but, the fact of the matter is that based on other forms of advertising this type is longer lasting, more useful, and can attract visitors like no other type of advertising can do.
Think about the last time you bought ebook or home study course, chances are that you read something that the owner of that business wrote for free. You liked what you read. Wanted to learn more. So you listened to the writer’s call to action, and visited their website, then opted into their free newsletter or subscriber list. And perhaps you even bought one of their products.
Write an interesting article on one aspect of your business tonight, give it a great keyword rich title and publish it on your blog. Visitors who are interested in your niche, will find your article and in doing so will find their way to your website. Your website is where you want to house all pertinent and interesting information, it is where you use your Attraction Marketing Techniques. When readers want more information, free tips and advice, and targeted information in your niche, you want them to think of you first. After having come to your site, you want them to know exactly where to come for more and that the next step is to sign up for your newsletter. This is how you begin to build your list. Make sure your visitors know that in order to get more tips from you, that they have to opt-in to your subscriber list.
At this point, you want them to have been directed to the information they need and desire. You want your visitors to have come directly to the page or post that they searched for in order to get to your site. Carefully direct visitors to more articles that peak their interest even further or send them to a regular ezine or autoresponder series. Now you are building trust and credibility with these visitors. These are the things that begin to qualify your readers.
In fact, some will be so inspired by the information that you have given to them for free, that they can only begin to imagine what kind of information you will teach them if they paid for it! Don’t worry about your writing technique. Create a way for readers to ask you for additional tips and information by adding a “resource box” at the end of your articles. Just like most articles now include. Make sure to have other articles written that further develop a topic of interest in your niches. Implementing these ideas will help your list grow dramatically, and enable you to start to produce more articles. Get list building!
