You never know when a brief acquaintance might turn into a valuable resource. Be on the lookout for opportunities to help others and for others to help you. Here are a few key points to keep in mind as you read and incorporate these last few tips into developing and building your online business:

Seventh, use common business etiquette and manners. Avoid using slang. Remember, you will never alienate an audience by using a professional tone, but you might if you get too casual. Again, remember your audience, maybe your audience communicates in a tone that is not considered professional, always remember to to “Your” audience. If you’re not sure, communicate in a professional tone. Answer all emails, spam doesn’t need to be answered but, all emails should be replied to, even if it is a brief acknowledgment. You never know when you will interact with someone again. Treat each person as your most valued customer. You never know, they just might be!

Eighth, ask questions of others! love to offer help others and advise others when appropriate and when the other person will benefit from their knowledge. There are bulletin boards all over the Internet where you can post messages looking for help on a particular topic whether it’s how to design something into your site, where to get a merchant account or something else. If you don’t ask, you’ll never know and there is no reason to reinvent the wheel when you can benefit from the knowledge of others.

Ninth, online marketing is a core focus, but don’t forget to market your business offline as well. Every time you give someone cash, write a check or give your , include a business card with it. Tell people about your online business and ask them to spread the word. Word of mouth advertising is far better than any other form of advertising. Press releases, offline classifieds and traditional methods of advertising are important to your overall business functions.

Lastly, build relationships with your visitors and with members of forums and groups that you belong to. Use your networking skills online. When you visit bulletin boards and news groups, offer real help and assistance. Don’t Spam these places. Use a signature line promoting your business, if it is allowed. If you are legitimate, people will remember you and it could be worth gold to you in the future .

    Good points in this blog, especially those relating to off line references that we intend to forget or put much emphasis on because we are so concerned with every day online.We really do have to reference the off line segment of our business constantly. Many programs push our warm markets and our lives about us to the nth degree, much less to none online. Reverse is true with online programs and we do seem to leave the immediate world about us in the dust – warm markets tomorrow.
