Facebook is mainstream. Many people are using facebook as a way to network and stay in touch with new and old friends. Other people are using facebook as a business tool to network with others and build a targeted database of people who can become part of their distribution channel.

How To Leverage Facebook and Social Networking To Make Money From Home:
1. Create Facebook Account.
2. Model a successful marketer’s profile to help you set it up for relationship building, branding and teaching others. You can start with mine:

3. Begin by “friending” a group of influential marketers in your niche (successful people in your niche with big lists). This will allow you to both LEARN techniques by observing what they do. In addition, your profile will now show up on their profile and as others look for people to link to and add to their friends list, YOUR profile will show up and it will be referenced by facebook as a suggested person to meet.
As you get on more and more people’s friends list, this begins to gain speed and you begin to received more and more friends requests daily. This is how you begin to build your targeted list for free.
In other training videos, we show you how to also use TWITTER and set up a way where, on autopilot, the people you follow on twitter will automatically be invited to network with you on facebook as well and we show you WHY this is effective. This builds your network much faster.
4. With your network growing and with you learning more valuable marketing tips and strategies, you begin to use facebook “notes” and posts as a platform to share valuable tips and information with your niched database. Every couple notes or posts will have an invitation (subtle) to learn more by receiving your email newsletter or getting on your information/training list. This is how you begin to transition people from your free facebook list building into your information and marketing funnel where you can continue to build trust, brand and a relationship that will help people flow through your sales funnel.
5. In your cold marketing you will be advertising and building your list. In your follow up emails, you can invite those cold prospects to “get to know you better” and have support and access to you by networking with you on Facebook. In this way, you end up using facebook for both educational reasons, as well as BUILDING A RELATIONSHIP and “breaking the ice” with cold prospects. This also works to continue BRANDING YOU in their minds so that when they think of learning “internet marketing” or “how to make money from home” they will think of YOU first. Branding. Relationships.
6. A specific way to “teach” using facebook is by using a feature called “facebook notes” which is like having a “mini blog” on facebook. You prepare mini posts which inspire, or teach specific marketing tips and post them on facebook notes. At the end of each information, educational (not spam or ads) mini post you can link and invite to your own blog post to cover the topic in more depth, your youtube video to add depth or simply sign off and include the link to your lead capture page on your post. A subtle way to offer value, and the fair trade off is that you place your link to your lead capture page or a newsletter at the end of each post.
This is also a way to get your facebook friends who are not on your main list to opt in.
In summary, Facebook is only limited to your imagination.
It’s a tremendous resource and you’ll realize just how flexible and powerful it can be in future posts as we break down and explain how it really works.

First of all… is your list YOUR list? And even if it is… a list is worthless!
Whoa, didn’t expect that from me, right? This post and video explains what I mean by

Step TWO – Profile Setup. Actually, before you do any list building, you want to get your profile set up exactly the way you want to. The beginning of Twitter marketing consist of getting set up by filling in the fields in your profile so you can personalize your page. The more information you display the more people will know about you but you don’t much space so focus on highlights.
Step THREE – What’s Twitter Really About? The last of the beginning stages is getting a basic understanding of Twitter and what it’s really all about. You need to understand that it is a social tool and not a classifieds site. For this reason, you need to know you cannot spam others about your specials a billion times a day on autopilot, you only want to include useful and relevant information, become accustomed to engaging in multiple conversations, and do not promote your company directly.
Step FOUR – Twitter Marketing. Now with the basics out of the way, it’s time for you to start taking advantage of Twitter marketing. You’ll want to start by building your followers base. You can do this several different ways including inviting people to follow you after every post on your blog, see who is following your friends and then follow them, or simply placing a link asking people to follow you everywhere you go.
Here’s a super secret tip for niche marketers: Pick and follow some influential people in your niche. There are two basic reasons for this and the first is that by following someone that has already built up a list of, say, 10,000 followers AND being a niche marketer, chances are this could be a pretty targeted group of people. You can access and begin to network with potentially lik-minded people right off the bat without trying to figure out where to find them.
Secondly, as you begin to appear in the follower’s lists of influential people in your target market, others seeking like-minded people to follow will begin to find you. As this network grows, your Twitter follower list begins to grow virally and without you really doing much. You then focus on what your competition is NOT doing: Engaging the community sincerely and networking with others without “robots” and “software” doing the “networking” for them.
It is important you have a good balance between your followers and the people you are following. Following a lot of people is seen as spamming and having a lot of followers will stop people from wanting to follow you. Learn to find a balance between the two.
One way you can get people to follow you is by adding information and posts that are worthwhile. As with any form of marketing, people will be intrigued if you provide them with fresh and relevant tips and posts.
Step FIVE – Leverage Experts. The last tip to help you make the most of your Twitter marketing is to refer to the experts. If you follow people with hundreds of followers and ask them questions, you can build up a solid base of followers yourself. It takes time and practice, but you can benefit greatly as soon as you learn the art of tweeting.
