These sites are deemed “authority sites” in the eyes of google and other search engines. They are relevant. They are sites where there is “User Generated Content” and “networking” going on by the content publishers, so they are vibrant Web 2.0 communities (which the search engines love).
Each time you post or submit a link, desicription and title to your content on any of these sites you generate what is called a “backlink” back to YOUR content.
In “Search Engine Marketing” or “Search Engine Optimization”, or SEO – ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL:
He/She with the most quality backlinks to their content WINS…
This means that the more backlinks you have, the more potential exposure and higher ranking and indexing you can receive from the search engines…
