Personal Growth or Attraction Marketing Nuts & Bolts?

Which is more important to achieving goals, growing a business, advancing in your career, raising great kids, contributing to your community?

Sounds like a loaded question – and it is… VERY loaded.

I get this request or question all the time…

“Franco, I’m looking for someone that will teach me MARKETING – I want something that “works” – I want to generate traffic and get sales. I want to generate $10,000 in income every month… but I don’t want a bunch of mental mumbo jumbo… all that positive thinking stuff… the fuff… I want real marketing tactics…”

Funny thing is… I used to demand the same thing.

When I wasn’t successful… when I was struggling and frustrated…

Here’s the point:

Without a firm passion for SELF GROWTH and an interest in developing your SELF, NONE of the quick and sexy marketing “Strategies” will mean a hill of beans.

You won’t know what to do with traffic. You won’t know how to address questions (because you won’t be hearing the REAL questions… the questions within the questions) without a firm grasp of human behavioral psychology… And it’s simple. If you don’t know what makes you tick… or what really motivates you… or where personalities, character, motivation really comes from…

You won’t know how to truly help someone else.

You’ll be focused on their money. Making a sale. You’ll expect them to get to a web site ONE time and buy from you… just because you paid or worked to “drive traffic” – but you’ll be hitting one big wall after another.

Personal development IS EVERYTHING TO AN ENTREPRENEUR.

And most career professionals are focused on personal development too.

When we were selling real estate, we were tops in our firm… and we spent most of our time with other leaders NOT talking real estate sales skills, or fancy closing “techniques” – nope… leaders were almost always fixated on personal development. We’d share books from Carnegie, Jim Rohn, Robbins, Napoleon Hill… we’d buy books by the case to pass out to colleagues, teammates and customers and prospects…

It helped attract the type of person we wanted to work with.

Same with internet marketing & Attraction Marketing.

Once we focused on personal development… it was like forcing you to meet and get to know the “man in the mirror” and make that person a better “partner” – and most people ignore THAT person and go through life blaming and criticizing everyone else…

We locked down and focused on working on US way more than the marketing…

You know what happened?

We learned that the marketing and the business stuff was so much simpler.

Trust me. You work on yourself twice as much as you do on “marketing” and you’ll see how simple the nuts and bolts of marketing really are…

The other day, while I was at work, my sister stole my iphone and tested to see if
it can survive a 25 foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My apple ipad
